OTP Login for Mobile App
Forgotten passwords will be a thing of the past with our latest update to the Compass app. Our current authentication flow can cause confusion for our parent and carer users who share the same login details. It happens all the time, one parent forgets and resets the password resulting in the second parent getting locked out, causing an infinite loop and a frustrated parent community!

With this latest feature update, users have the option to sign in with their mobile number instead of a password. When users click on “Sign in with mobile number” they will be prompted to enter their username and mobile number, if the mobile number matches their Compass account they will get sent a one-time passcode which they enter in the next screen to log into the app.

Users also have the option to login with a one-time passcode using their email address by clicking “I want to use my email address”.
On every sign-in users will be sent a new one-time code.

2 - Recover Password

This guide is intended for the reset of Parent Compass Accounts Only. 

Student accounts must be reset through the school IT Department.

If you are unsure of your username and/or password, follow these instructions...

Usernames and passwords for Parents can be recovered directly to your email address or to your mobile phone.

If you did not provide Strathmore Secondary College with an email address or mobile phone number, please do so via email to enable password recovery and receive correspondance. Email Strathmore SC IT Admin.

Open the Strathmore Compass Web Page.

Click -

"Can't access your account?"

​Enter your Compass username.

Usernames are in the format "ABC0001"

​Click "Continue"

If you do not know your usename, click "I don't know my username" and follow onscreen instructions.

Enter your email address and an email will be sent to your registered email address with a confirmation code.

*You must use your registered email address, Compass will not send the email to any other address.

OR

Enter your mobile phone number and a confirmation code will be sent by text message.

*You must use your registered mobile number, Compass will not send the text to any other number.

​Click Continue.

Follow onscreen instructions to complete your password recovery.
